He studied French Language and Literature at the University of Havana, where he developed a deep appreciation for storytelling, language, and literary tradition. He firmly believes in the power of stories to nurture childhood and in the importance of reading and imagination as sources of comfort, inspiration, and guidance in an increasingly digital world.

Through his books, CJ creates stories filled with adventure, warmth, and meaningful life lessons, where children discover that even the smallest things—a wise owl, a gentle turtle, or an unexpected day—can hold extraordinary magic. José Jesús Rodríguez Faría is the co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of NIRA Books. A lawyer and university professor educated at the University of Carabobo, he has dedicated his career to one simple yet powerful belief: books have the ability to change lives and shape future generations.

As Editor-in-Chief, he leads the creative and editorial vision of NIRA Books with the goal of publishing children's literature that combines artistic excellence, emotional depth, and timeless storytelling. His work brings together literary sensitivity, editorial expertise, and a profound belief that imagination is one of childhood's greatest gifts.

Through NIRA Books, he champions stories that celebrate family, curiosity, diversity, and the magic of everyday life, building a catalog designed to inspire children and families around the world. His editorial vision is to create books that go beyond entertainment—stories that plant values, spark curiosity, and leave lasting memories for a lifetime.

Eliza Moreno is a Mexican illustrator and holds a Bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Language and Production. With more than eight years of experience in editorial projects, particularly children's books, she creates artwork inspired by the quiet beauty of everyday life.

Her illustrations are warm, expressive, and emotionally driven, designed to connect with children while enriching the stories they accompany. Through every brushstroke, Eliza seeks to spark imagination, evoke wonder, and create memorable reading experiences for young audiences.

Ana Lucía Barrios (NALU)

Ana Lucía Barrios, professionally known as NALU, is a Guatemalan illustrator specializing in children's books. Her work is distinguished by expressive characters and imaginative worlds that invite readers into adventures filled with nature, fantasy, and discovery.

Javiera Cerda Pérez is a Chilean graphic designer and illustrator. From an early age, drawing became her natural way of interpreting the world as she filled sketchbooks with original characters, stories, and ideas inspired by animated films and childhood imagination.

Years later, she rediscovered illustration as a creative refuge, developing a distinctive style that blends children's illustration with comic-inspired portraiture. Inspired by nature, emotions, and the boundless imagination of childhood, Javiera creates artwork that invites readers to dream, explore, and remember that creativity and perseverance remain among life's most meaningful journeys.

Giovanna De la Torre

Giovanna De la Torre is a Mexican illustrator and graphic designer based in Querétaro, Mexico. She earned her degree in Graphic Design from the Universidad del Valle de México (UVM), where she developed the artistic foundation that continues to shape her work today.

Inspired by Mexican culture, nature, fantasy, and the stories she loved as a child, Giovanna creates illustrations that blend warmth, imagination, and emotion. As an independent illustrator and designer, she has contributed to educational and editorial projects while also teaching illustration workshops. Annie and the Turtle Who Knew the Way marks her first illustrated children's book—a dream project that reflects her passion for creating stories that inspire, comfort, and delight young readers around the world.
